In answer to a growing market for unique and one of a kind clothing and accessories, Identity Apparel has come up with the ultimate monogram: your own DNA sequence.

Co-founder Dylan Ferguson got the idea of creating clothing that feature your DNA, your finger print or your lip print as a design while viewing a DNA portrait on display at an art gallery.

The process of creating a DNA designed piece begins with the customer completing a collection kit, which consists of a cheek swab to collect cells. Once Identity receives the kit back, they use a Polymerase Chain Reaction process to develop the bold bands of DNA that will be printed in which ever design the customer chooses.

After graduating last spring from Ryerson University, Ferguson and co-founder Aram Melkoumov were a featured new designer in New York Fashion Week.
