Eclectic goods entertain the eye: scooter coolers!
Early February, I went to the ASI trade show in the Dallas convention center, and let me tell you, they had all kinds of ridiculousness. The entire top floor was covered with hundreds of booths containing all different things, and it was rumored to have H1N1 hand sanitizer, talk about useful ;), but that ended up not being at the show in Dallas. Despite not having the coveted, over the top hand sanitizer, there were still some awesome things. Here's a countdown of the five coolest things I saw.
5. Gum. I know this doesn't sound very exciting, but the way it can be packaged totally makes it work. You can have whatever you want put on the front with whatever picture, so it could say anything from your name, to "Teletubes Rock My Socks Off," and you can place a picture of anything on the cover. On top of that, you can make order it with vitamins :)
4.This guy made kits anyway the customer wanted. The example he showed me, pictured here, is a hangover kit his client had made to give to all his party guests. It contains, mouthwash, Tylenol, ear plugs and eye mask. Everything you need in a cute tiny package!
3. Chocolate newspaper. The lady who ran this stand had the best smelling cart in the entire place. Everything she had was made out of chocolate, but this was by far the coolest thing. If you look closely, you can see every single word engraved into the chocolate at a perfect size. Even the picture was of a perfect proportion.
2. Leather coffee collar. Don't get me wrong. It looks pretty snazzy with the coffee cup picture on the front, but I don't understand how this would ever be useful. Are you supposed to carry this around with you every time you think you might want coffee? Maybe you wanna say, "come on, they're trying to be green!" yeah, sure, but it's purpose is to go over one-time-use coffee cups.
1. Scooter-cooler. Yeah, that's right, scooter cooler. Whoever has one of these bad boys can load up pounds of food, beverages, whatever, and actually drive it around. I got to drive one, and it was so fun! its completely electric, so you put your feet on the pedals and twist the handlebar to go forward. I don't think I'd ever use one of these in real life, but it was definitely awesome to ride.
